Gaming Fun
Aubrey went to a birthday party for a fellow Girl Scout last evening. She had a fabulous time and was way into it.
Fruit Ninja was a highlight for Aubrey watching.
She played a car racing game, which required her to sit in my lap as she couldn't reach the pedals. But the motorcycle game she could do all on her own.
A picture doesn't do it justice, though. She loved doing wheelies and included her own sound effects.
After some laser tag, which she wanted me to join her for as she was a little spooked...she climbed the rock wall. No fear on this one.
Made it to the top. "Look, Mommy!"

Thunder!
We got some free tickets to the Thunder game last Sunday.
On our way to our seats, we passed the Sonic Thunderdog.
Free tickets = nosebleed section...but we were fine up there with room to spread out. :)

Cookie Time
February 13th kicked off Girl Scout cookie season here in Wichita. Since Aubrey is a new Daisy, we had no idea what to expect. We have made some deliveries together...and have sampled our fair share as well.
One delivery highlight was going to Hesston Thursday evening and having a chance to visit with Beth Rizza. It has been too long!
Another highlight was Friday evening when we delivered cookies to City Hall. We thought we were just going to make a cookie delivery, but James Clendenin (Vice Mayor) had an adventure waiting for us.
He took us on a tour. One stop was the Mayor's office where Aubrey got to sit in the Mayor's chair.

We met council member Lavonta Williams who bought some cookies from Aubrey. Aubrey was still so nervous at that point that she couldn't even remember her own name. By the end of the tour when we were taking in the view of the city from the Assistant City Manager's office, Aubrey was quite comfortable and sold her 5 boxes with her confidence sweet smile.
Checking out where the council meetings are held.

Selfie
I was asked to take a selfie with my kids for work. The day I was supposed to have it ready, I remembered to take one...so here we are. Ready for school and work.
KU
A few weekends ago, Tyler's friend, Devon, invited him to go to the KU vs Kentucky basketball game. They had the back stage pass again and had a great time.
Time to talk to the media
Snowed In Reading Night
The kids' school had a Snowed In reading night. Weather outside was gorgeous, but they had lots of fun activities inside themed around snowy weather.
Olaf was walking around much to the delight of the little ones.
Making a snowman (from a mixture of conditioner and baking soda)
They had a snow machine as part of the photo prop. (The only snow we've seen this winter).
Playing Bingo (and making friends)
Obstacle course
Drawing Olaf
Pondering
Apology
One night when the kids were at each other's throats, I asked them both to write 3 compliments about the other person. I was entertained by the differences in what they wrote about. (And I tried multiple times to rotate the picture and cannot get it to cooperate. :(
Art Museum Ice
We enjoyed time a couple of Saturdays ago at the art museum. They had a themed event around ice. Outside were several ice sculptors. One was sculpting this ice lens which had a cool effect...
Inside, working on a painting
Lost tooth!
The night of Aubrey's party, she pulled out her first tooth. She was pretty excited and proud. She pulled out her second bottom tooth a few days later.
