Little Man
It's hard for me to believe that Tyler is nearly done with kindergarten. How has this happened? I get a little sentimental thinking about how quickly he is growing up. Then, there are days when seeing him get off that big bus...it makes him looks so, so little. Is it bad that this is a little reassuring for me?
Tonight in the car, he was complaining that adults get to do all the fun things that kids don't get to do. All of my reminders of the fun things he gets to do and doesn't have to worry about because he's little, fell on deaf ears. As I expected they would. He's most excited about driving some day. Oh boy. :)

Music Program - May 5
Tyler's Spring music program was Thursday. Wayne stayed home so that Aubrey could nap, and I got to go to the program. It was titled Cute As A Bug. It was true to its name - all about bugs and very cute!
Tyler was an Ant (#10) in the program. Here is that song...(for those who are interested).
Mother's Day
And on the way out, appreciated that we weren't in this line. (Posing only to capture the looooong line).

Easter Pictures
Saturday, I hid eggs at our house and Tyler and Aubrey got their Easter baskets. Sunday, we spent the day in Hesston. Sue had an egg hunt ready for Tyler, and of course he really enjoyed that.
Here he is happily opening eggs.
The Stuckeys
Just us. Of the pictures we got, either Tyler or Aubrey had their eyes closed. At least in this one, Aubrey is happy.

catch up time
I have had blogging block, but this is my attempt at a little catch up.
About a month ago, I found Aubrey had happily hoisted herself up onto our stair blockers a.k.a. chairs. Here she is sporting a nah nah nah boo boo look.
Also, nearly a month ago, was Spring Break. We enjoyed seeing friends again after a Winter with lots of illnesses that kept us all apart. I didn't take any pictures, but Lisa did - she posted pics of trips to Exploration Place and the Zoo.
We also purchased a First Team basketball goal. Because of stormy and cold, then windy weather, it took nearly 2 weeks from the digging of the hole until its completion.
Tyler and I also enjoyed making these tasty and easy Bird's Nest Cookies to welcome Spring. These pretty Easter Egg Rice Krispie Treats are next. Happy Spring, everyone.

Our little climber happily holding the phone...she holds it behind her head when she is trying to act like she's on the phone.

This week, Tyler and Wayne have been playing nearly every evening - this time in their matching KU shirts.

And Aubrey begs to be outside with them so she's usually running around too.

Miss Independent
Aubrey likes to do more and more for herself. A couple of weeks ago, she started reaching for a fork. So...I let her hold it.
Success!
The same evening I took this picture a couple weeks ago, Aubrey started running a fever. Last Monday, we took her to the doctor who said that she has RSV and bronchiolitis. Tyler has been sick a week longer than Aubrey and developed a sinus infection. They are both finally getting back to normal. (Thus, I'm finally getting around to posting again). It's nice to have happy kids again.
Spring - are you there? I'm ready to be done with this cold and flu season.
